5. Rice

While not the most heinous of cereals to consume as a diabetic, most commonly available species of rice are no better than glutenous pasta or bread. This certainly includes white rice, but brown rice too. Certain species of wild rice can be much more forgiving on your blood-sugar levels, but if the ratio of carbs to fiber isn’t at least a fifth or more, I wouldn’t bother with it.
