7. Alexander Farm, Waikato, New Zealand (Lord of the Rings)
This 1,250-acre sheep farm in Waikato, New Zealand was the place where Hobbit Holes were created and scattered for the Lord of the Rings. The director created the gardens surrounding Hobbiton a year before the actual filming. It still exists as a tourist attraction.
