It’s common knowledge that regular exercise can help keep diabetes away. Even simple exercises such as swimming and brisk walking can improve insulin sensitivity.
- If you are doing the opposite – sitting in front of the computer or TV or using a smartphone for prolonged periods, it can create conditions that are ideal for a positive diabetic diagnosis.
- Long periods of inactivity can increase the risk of developing diabetes.
Make sure you get up from your seat at regular intervals and take a short walk, or maybe do some stretching moves to keep the circulation going smoothly.
