The year 2002 was a hellish year for America’s second biggest poultry company Pilgrim’s Pride. After its ready-to-eat turkey and chicken products were found to be contaminated, the company had to recall 27.4 million pounds of its ready-to-eat products. This was a massive recall. Eventually, the company shut down in 2006.
